Fashion Reflects the Economy

Fashion reflects the State of the Economy

I had a great visit this week with Kimberly Grabel, Sr. VP of Marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue. Time to get a little ShopGirl insight on a few Fall Trends.

Kimberly says customers want to make smart decisions regarding navigating the trends this season and products must have a inherit quality and value. Sounds good to me, we all need to make the most of our fashion dollar. The trend of Investment Shopping includes adding timeless pieces – but make them special by choosing a unique color or print.

10 Saks Fifth Avenue I WANT IT FALL TRENDS

1. Leggings
2. The Cozy Knit
3. The Strong Shoulder Jacket
4. The Vest
5. The New Classic Bag – a forever bag
6. The Rocker Boot
7. The Statement Neck – numerous jewels and gems to sparkle
8. The Loop – winter scarf in lightweight for Tampa
9. The Shapely Silhouette – be sleek underneath
10. The Lacquered Red Lip – a sign of hope and optimism

Regardless of the trends, Grabel emphasizes that we need to develop our own styles. “Think about your personal style and stay true to yourself,” says Grabel. Research also shows 70 percent of the affluent audience describe the feeling of extreme happiness when shopping! I agree! www.saksfifthaveune.com
